First, we overlook the old town terracotta tiles roofs from the aqueduct like stone bridge. It’s time to get ready for entering the Renaissance courtyards. One can admire breathtaking wall frescos by 16th century Dutch painter while listening to the stories about people who lived here 500 years ago and left incredible footprints. Find yourself astonished at the magic beauty of the castle tower and learn why live bears are kept at the castle moat for centuries. Just a stone’s throw from the Red Castle Gate, the crooked cobbled street of Latran takes us right to the Barbers Bridge featuring the five star halo Patron Saint of Johan of Nepomuk. He is always on guard, day and night. It is a true picture spot featuring magnificent views to any parts of the old town . The city’s only square is a pleasant picturesque stop with its Virgin Mary pillar, Renaissance town hall and the adjacent Gothic Church of St. Vitus.
